Spring Is Here! Spring has finally arrived. And not a moment too soon after the long, hard winter we had. Before we know it school will be out and you will be making your summer vacation plans. Whether you plan to spend your days at the beach or lazing in the neighborhood pool, at sports or sleepover camps, at some exotic locale far from home or maybe just sleeping in, summer is the best! We love summer too. It is so much fun to watch the Berkinshaw Bees buzzing around the backyard doing their work while we do ours. But what we really look forward to is all the great postcards we get from our patients over the summer months. That's right! It is time once again for the Berkinshaw Orthodontics Annual "How I Spent My Summer Vacation Postcard Contest". We've done this for many years now and we are always amazed by the number of postcards we receive, and from the most unusual and distant places. The prize categories are as follows: Farthest Away, Most Unusual Destination, Most Beautiful Scene, Funniest and Most Educational. So don't forget to tuck our address into your suitcase or backpack before you head out. We can't wait to hear from you! Have a great summer. Joyce Is Back! Many of you may have seen a familiar face re-appear in our front office. Joyce Hess worked with Dr. Berkinshaw for many years but retired a couple years ago to work with her husband in their family trucking business. Well, she's back! And we couldn't be happier. She will be working with Cindi sharing the job of Treatment Coordinator, bringing a wealth of knowledge from her many years in the field of orthodontics. In her free time, Joyce enjoys playing golf and spending time with her husband, Tom and two lovable dogs, Bernie, a sweet and gentle St. Bernard and Esther, an adorable Black Lab. Be sure to say hi to her the next time you visit our office! Contest News In April we had a contest asking you to guess the number of jellybeans in a jar. It is always so much fun listening to your different strategies for coming up with your guesses. Tim Martin guessed that there were 3356 jellybeans in the jar and there were actually 3330. Wow! I would like to know what calculations he used to come up with such a close guess. Great job Tim! He won the Easter Basket full of goodies and gift cards. Stay tuned...June 1st we will start our next contest. And it's a good one! You could be our next big winner! |
